Colour Correction Tutorials

In class we were given the brief for experimenting with colour correction on Final Cut, we then had to make an video tutorial of how to use colour correction. My and my group made a entire music video dedicated to colour correction, explaining how to use the tool. Unfortunately our data got deleted on the school system so I cannot show you our video that I had created however I am able to explain how to use the colour correction tool and what I does.

Here is an example of a shot on Final Cut being corrected, here we can see the overall look of the picture is more vibrant and warm. When colour correcting our shot we decided to put a black and white/greyscale effect on all of our shots then we decided to add colour into specific areas, creating a contrast which really showcased the possibilities of the colour correction tool. Below is an example of the sort of effect we had achieved on our original footage.
