Shot List

This is our current shot list for our video for what we have already filmed. We are unsure of the scenes we have to follow but know that there will be more of Molly & Joe but cannot plan shots until we have decided what we are going to film of them. Also, even though we have now choreographed part of the dance scenes, we are unsure of what shots we would like as it depends on how we want the audience to interpret the moves. For example, when she fails the moves and falls to the floor we may want a high angle to make her seem really inferior and in a low place in her life, but it depends on what the dance move consists of, as we need to make sure we get all of the move in the shot.

Using Photoshop

I have moved on to creating my website and digi pack So I am starting to come up with so far they are not perfect but there is from for development.
I started out with two ideas, the first one I wanted to look quite clinical and robotic which fits the meaning of the song and original music video; saying how she I only human, she's not a robot and feels emotions. I decided to invert the initial figure to create this idea. I then decided to add a glimpse of the original image in the second human title, which I feel empathises the robot overall feel. I've also included a geometric hexagon as a symbol that I want to include as a recognisable logo throughout my auxiliary tasks linking everything together. The reason behind the geometric is that I feel it emulates that robotic mechanical feel that I want to portray. It also gives a modern feel to the overall look, something I think my modern audience would appreciate.
It a working progress and I still need to work on making the edges of the images look a lot smoother feel, making it look more professional.

My second idea, perhaps my least favourite of the two (the bottom image) gives a more girly, cartoon feel which I feel does link to my target audience. I have included the same geometric shape/symbol again to create that robotic feel however, I feel the overall appearance has a far less modern feel, and does depict the overall message I want to portray, which I feel is shown better through my first option.

Choreography

As we started to edit together the filming we had done, we decided to incorporate some dance into our video, The idea is to have it relate to the relationship between Molly and Joe. Molly will be practicing a dance routine and cannot seem to get them quite right. (I had the idea to have her come up from falling down, with bruises like the ones at the video to represent this - then to turn and they are gone - as a foreshadow kind of thing). Then as the relationship becomes more of a strain, she finds the moves tougher and then she grows stronger and this will reflect in her dancing. Then at the end when she has kicked him out and is happier with her life and decisions, she will perform the dance properly and do everything well and perfect. These are the dance moves Emily chorepgraphed for the parts of our video that we want dance in.

Filming Update - Choreography

We have started to plan the choreography for of dance scenes in our music video. This is what we have planned so far. We want it to be dramatic and powerful but also making our lead character seem vulnerable and week, then gaining strength near the end of the video.
